As part of Nike’s 2022 Air Max Day collection, the Nike Air Max 1 ‘Wabi-Sabi’ DQ8656-133 is set to launch exclusively in the Asia Pacific and Latin America regions. This unique sneaker derives its name from the Japanese philosophy of appreciating the beauty in the flaws and imperfections of an object. The design of the shoe showcases exposed contrast stitching, adding a distinct visual element to its appearance.

The upper of the Air Max 1 ‘Wabi-Sabi’ DQ8656-133 features an off-white canvas base, complemented by a green Swoosh and a midfoot overlay made of pink leather. The color blocking on the shoe is asymmetrical, employing subdued shades of brown and olive on the split mudguard and heel overlay. The heel overlay also showcases Nike’s signature playful smiley face. As a nod to the shoe’s 35th anniversary, the lateral heel is embroidered with ‘XXXV’ in red stitching.
